The View from Bourtie

No celestial fireworks tonight, but a piece of agricultural machinery - looking perhaps like a kind of giant insect - adds a new dimension to the familiar view over Bennachie from my regular vantage point in the Parish of Bourtie, midway between Inverurie and Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.

Today is rather a sad day actually, as we remember Tikka, who had to be put to sleep by the vet yesterday morning, due to a continued steep and irreversible decline in her health and wellbeing. We shall miss her quiet but forceful presence around the house and in our lives...
