BugJemm's Bubble

Icy web

An early blip today, as Ant's family (father, sis, her bf) have come to visit. We're off out for a meal tonight for his father's 70th birthday - it was back in November but we couldn't make the arranged party then because of Ant's appendectomy.

It was very, very cold here last night - perhaps as low as -11 degrees - and the snow outside has frozen solid. The hoar frost made the garden look so pretty with the sun shining on it and making it sparkle, so I wrapped up well and went outside to take some photographs. Aside from this macro of a complex (but tiny) web under our beech bonsai, which Ant picked, I rather liked this one of a small string of web hanging from a branch. I've also uploaded a couple of shots of a robin and a starling to the Snow Birds set in my Flickr account.

The pressure's now on as I only have tomorrow to do my 'B is for...' blip for the alphabet challenge!

P.S. I discovered last night, via a friend on Twitter, that the canopy at King's Cross will be taken down soon, so I'm quite glad that I framed last night's photo of St Pancras Clocktower as I did :)
