The Fisherman's Daughter
On the way to the lake I daydreamed of innocence and remembered childhood moments of play with my friend Gail when we spent summers by Thomas Pond in Maine. When I pulled in to the parking area at Lake Beebe I saw that another car was there. I heard screams of delight and loud laughter before even opening my car door.
A fisherman, his wife and children were playing on the ice. I screwed on a filter to my lens and walked along the shoreline snapping shots as the children laughed, danced and played near the light path made by the setting sun.
I do not just believe in the magic of nature - I know it to the very core of my being.
