No Bars

Tonight is Stan's first night in his cage with the side bars off. It's not something I'd really given any thought to until I saw that Ollie's were already off (and then there's other kids that have already been in proper beds for ages). He'll be moving into a much bigger room and a big bed in a few weeks so this is a bit of a transition for him.

I've been suggesting the idea over the last week or so, specifically when we read Emily Brown and I point out that her bed doesn't have bars down the side. Last night be said "no bars" and I said I'd do it tonight. It was too late then but I did drop the side down a bit.

It turned into a pretty grim night by our standards (it would have been a piece of cake for some I know) so here's hoping he'll be happier with this and sleep happily through the night as normal. And not fall out of bed.
