The best thing about hallowe'en, as far as I'm concerned, is that it's my Dad's birthday. Speaking of parents, it's National Adoption Week in the UK. Just to remind you what a difference adoption can make to people's lives, here's a link to my last blip about the subject, which itself includes links to earlier blips on said subject. Who knows where I might have ended up if my parents hadn't chosen to take me into their home way back in 1971.

Today's blip is a close up of a fuschia flower taken with my new macro reverse adaptor + standard lens. I've uploaded a couple more photos in my Blipfolio - what it actually looked like at normal size (complete with greenfly) and my other favourite close up.

P.S. Thanks to you lovely few who keep commenting despite my exceptionally patchy responses. Work remains scarily out of control. I think perhaps still another week or two before a whole weekend off...
