Crown No1

After the debacle yesterday with the axe and the bleeding and the hospital, it was nice to come home to normality tonight, and do what I was planning to do yesterday.

Tonight I painted the stove legs again and also gave the base shelf it's first coat of paint. I know it doesn't make a whole lot of sense right now but as I assemble the thing it will become clear what I am trying to achieve.

As for the axe.

Well I went back to the wood pile and chopped some small bits of wood. Nothing like picking up where I left off. The axe felt a little different in my hands now that I I know it can bite. There is a neat little row of stitches on my wrist behind my thumb to prove it.
