Memories 3

I guess with it being my birthday yesterday, and the reflective mood that it put me in, is the reason for today's Blip.

These are my parents, Eric and Prue. I am not sure when they wed, but it must have been around 1973.

It's odd looking at pictures of people who existed before you did. I have seen and taken plenty of pictures of my nearest and dearest getting married, and experienced the fun and optimism that goes with the occasion - judging by my folks faces it would appear that same atmosphere was alive and kicking on that day.

It's never a happy ending though - I never really properly knew my mum, she died in 1980, I can remember emotions and smells and noises, but nothing tangible, but then I was only four years old when she died.

My dad gave me this picture instead of a birthday card this year - one of the most touching presents I have ever received.
