Flushing Good Fun!!

Today mum and I did our big walk up to Rendezvous Plantation to check on both our geocaches. In the fields up by my Rendezvous cache there were just sooo many pheasants I didn't know which way to run!
This picture was taken just after I'd flushed a whole family of birds, I came steaming back to mum to hear her shout "Bird" and see her pointing ahead so off I went again to flush out this straggler!
It's a bit difficult to see but the pheasant is just to the right of the straw bale, maybe it's easier to see in 'big'.

The whole circuit is 7 miles long and it took us 2 hours and 50 minutes to check all the micros and to check our waypoints for a whole bunch of new geocaches that we're going to place along the same route. People just don't like multi caches - ours has 6 micros leading to the final cache, with the extra cache at Rendezvous Plantation. So, we have at least another 8 spots picked out ready for more caches along the route.

So, if you're a geodog with a liking for pheasants, come on over!

Edit: Just noticed that a year ago yesterday I blipped a newly born calf and announced that the herd was being sold off. So it's almost a year on and no dairy herd in the village. It's definitely not the same. We miss the cows. Should we blame the badgers for TB or places like Tesco or something else? A field of poppies or maize just isn't the same as a field of grazing cows.
