Chimney

Today we moved south to a second villa at Zambujal near Mafra. We were still by the sea, but nearer Lisbon.

Some Portuguese houses have stars and moons painted on their chimneys - I?m not sure why. Many have this characteristic blue paintwork on whitewash.
