What's Up Doc

I woke this morning with an old friend reminding me they are still there. Whilst FW delayed getting up for her shift I decided to head downstairs and start preparing Bob's lunch. A few minutes (actually quite a few minutes) FW came trudging down the stairs advising she was running late and still had her uniform to iron.

In a moment of madness I offered to iron her uniform to allow her time to eat her breakfast and apply some slap. To say I was a wee bit surprised when instead of heading upstairs to get ready I heard FW typing away on the PC. She then came upstairs and sat on the bed whilst I finished ironing her uniform - I think I'd been well had.

Over the course of the morning the pain behind my right eye continued to get worse and when I eventually packed Bob off to school I headed back to bed - I could get used to having bank holidays. It's funny what quickly becomes the norm and you get used to it but today is the first day in weeks I've had pain that bad. I think when it was happening everyday my body/ mind got used to it and as it had started to ease the body also relaxed so when it does resurface it really knocks you for six.

It's funny how things work out. I attended the asthma clinic today to be advised that my asthma appears to be improving and as such are reducing my medication further. Fantastic news I no longer have to worry about breathing and appear to be managing fine - always great to get a doctors opinion that you are breathing.

This afternoon and a few tablets later I've felt great and watched 3 films whilst doing the ironing, Scream 4, Inception and Unknown. Actually the ironing was stopped during Inception due to the plot, what a fantastic film and the effects are amazing.

Bob came home tonight with a drawing which I initially thought she had traced. Over the last few months her art work has really came on but tonight's drawing really surprised me. She was also appalled at me for asking if she traced it, "No I copied it from a picture and if you don't believe me you can ask Miss Hannigan". Oops I'll know better in the future.
