Phew, I thought my colour vision had gone.

Thank you all for your kind wishes on my birthday. We had a lovely party, the rain held off, the barbecued ribs were fab, the guests were all fun and a good time was had by all.

My feelings yesterday were summed up by the old Tommy Cooper joke:
"I'm trying that whiskey diet, it's great, I've lost three days already!"
