Precious Light

A burning head of the Devil, made from lots of unlit matchsticks. Set alight this evening by its creator, David Mach.

I remember as a teenager in the 80s being fascinated by his sculpture of a life-size polaris submarine made out of tyres (fatally set alight by a protester) and seeing him interviewed as he created one of his pieces where thousands of magazines spewed out of and around a couple of trucks. Also responsible for the Big Heids on the M8.

Looking forward to seeing his show at the CAC.
