c41 (ii)

The C41 developer I mixed up two months ago is only meant to last two weeks, but since the roll of heavily expired fuji superia that I shot this morning had nothing of any consequence on it, I thought it was worth a punt. I paid a bit more attention to temperature control than usual, but even still I nearly fell over when I saw how well the negs had come out. I had a fun walk too, into town for a father's day present, then back again, looking for wee splashes of colour like this to brighten up a grey day.

Later, my folks arrived for a few days visit; Rory was delighted to get a few late birthday presents, and there was an exciting gift for me too... more on that story later.
