Third place

Today saw a road trip to Lockerbie(about 90 miles) so that DC could take part in the Scottish Secondary Schools final of the World Burns Federation's search for the Young Scottish Burnsian of the year.

The finals involved bagpipes, instrumental, singing and recitation. Each catagory is then divided into S1/2, S3/4 and S5/6.

The wee man finished third in the S1/2 recitation class with a mark of 97%. fantastic effort and his Address to a Haggis was awesome!

Congrats to all the competitors and especially to Leona Evans who was crowned young Burnsian of the year.

This is him with his medal and certificate outside Lockerbie Academy. He is planning to make himself available for Burns suppers in the new year!
