Memories

Took our granddaughter for her first walk (ok since she is only 7 months old so 'push') round Hazlehead park. We used to spend most of our summers there when our kids were little - probably 20 years ago. This is the memorial garden for Piper Alpha in memory of the 167 oilmen killed in that disaster in 1988. I have been there in the summer when full of colour but today, in spring, with little colour as yet it had an extra feeling of melancholy.
