Bargain?

After checking this lens was compatible with my Canon and taking a few shots, I left the shop with my purchase.

I paid £59 for it, not sure if I got a bargain or not. It was in Cash Converters and was the only DSLR type lens they had and I felt obliged to give it a new lease of life.

If anyone can tell me what this lens is best for then let me know, I'm very much a newbie and any help is greatly appreciated!

Oh, can anyone recommend where I can get this lens cleaned?
