I was born in Ilford, Essex and spent my childhood between the streets of East End London and the fields and fells of rural Cumbria.

I developed an early love of photography after receiving a Prinz Sharp-Shooter 110mm camera for my 7th birthday.

Persuaded not to pursue a career in photography, I now teach full-time in a primary school in Dagenham but I am never far from a camera, even if it is sometimes an iPhone.

I currently live close to my old stomping ground, with a snake, two cats and a small fluffy puppy.
