Married to Christine and living in Aboyne, Aberdeenshire since 2003, when we returned to NE Scotland after 5 years living and working in Borneo. Our daughter Laura-Jane is studying geology at Aberdeen Uni (and she is also a Blipper, when academic pressures allow). Our son Alexander is his final year at Aboyne Academy.

2012 was significant for Christine and I, as we both hit 50 early in that year. It prompted me to reflect on what I'd like to still do, health and wealth permitting. Publishing a photo every day for a year was one such thing, so I did it for most (but not quite all) days in 2012! A job change and other distractions meant I lost the Blipfoto habit towards the end of 2012 and throughout 2013. However a 2014 new year's resolution is to complete the famed 365 photos in a year.
